It has been a dreary day at Texas Children's. We had planned a trip to the zoo but the rain stopped that. We have spent most of the day in the room playing games, doing school work, watching TV and napping (well, I tried to nap but someone kept waking me up).
Jon got 12 new cards today. A big thanks to:
Scooter, Angela, Snow White, Terrell, Jake, Zach, Ginger, Patsy Chambers, Chris & Larry Ford, Reida Davis, Haley Richard, and Brandi Smith. He now has 33 cards on 2 walls! I am going to have to replace the tape at the nurses station...which is a small price to pay for how happy the cards make Jon.
We have one more free day then we start the 2 days of infusions. Then on Friday we will get to come home during the "wash out period". That is the 3 days it takes to get the drugs out of his system. Then we will come back next Monday and start over again.
Thanks again for everyone who is keeping up with us either through calls, cards, e-mails or blog posts. We really appreciate it!

Rain rain rain rain rain. That is what it is doing here. It even rained our game out :( Really, that makes me sad because I want BASEBALL to be DONE!!! Sorry it ruined the zoo for you. I think the animals don't care if it is raining because Chili just stood FROZEN in the yard durning the heavy rain. Hope your day is dryer tomorrow. You and JON have a BALL.

Sorry it rained on your plans for the zoo. It rained here today about 1 inch. You know that the grass and flowers were really singing while it was raining. The birds were all singing too. They were very happy. Paw Maw Maw and I went to Beaumont to the Dentist in the rain. Maw Maw will have her tooth pulled next Monday if she does not change her mind.
